Minho Aerospace Students’ Team is thrilled and incredibly proud to announce that Project DAEDALUS has been officially accepted into the European Rocketry Challenge 2026. Securing a spot in this prestigious competition has been our primary goal since the formation of the team, and seeing this vision turn into reality is a monumental milestone for MAST.

MAST took part in the Career Fair held during the 3rd Aerospace Engineering Days at the University of Minho, strengthening connections between students and the aerospace industry.

MAST, in collaboration with AeroUM & PAS Minho, hosted a hands-on workshop dedicated to CFD using ANSYS, focused on the aerodynamic analysis of a rocket nose cone.

A 10x10x10 cm satellite, biology in orbit, and a system that allows cells to “hibernate” remotely. For more than a year and a half, a team of University of Minho students has been developing Aurora Mission, a 1U CubeSat integrating a biological payload and a remotely controlled cellular hibernation system—an approach pioneering in the 1U format. The mission has validation from the Portuguese Space Agency.

After numerous meetings and many hours of work, DAEDALUS held its first team-building activity, focusing on strengthening personal connections in a relaxed and informal setting.
